- PC Tune Up is where I run a mix of computer diagnostics and inspect your computer’s program settings, start up defaults, disk drive condition for performance bottlenecks and apply all software updates. No parts are removed nor installed. I then adjust all your settings, remove unwanted applications and defragment your hard drive. This is non-invasive surgery and usually takes from 2 to 3 hours.
- Computer Software and Hardware Upgrades & Updates is when you want, or need, new items installed. Typically these are cases like upgrading to a newer software version, upgrading to a larger capacity hard drive, or replacing a defective component such as a hard drive, CD drive, monitor, keyboard, etc. Parts don’t just get replaced, they also require adjustments and updated drivers/software. Time required varies since a keyboard replacement can be far easier and faster than copying off programs from an old hard drive to a new hard drive.
- Computer Repairs are when your computer has ceased working, won’t power up or Windows doesn’t completely load up like it used too. Poor performance can also sometimes mean a component has broken such as a hard drive having to re-access data over and over before it gets a copy of the good data. There are countless causes for computer failures and fortunately most failures do not translate to expensive repairs.
Note: I only service laptops, notebooks and desktops running Microsoft Windows. I do not service cellphones, Apple or Android products.
